Matprop has a proven history of excellence as a marine contractor and shipbuilding services provider in India. Since 2009, we have been a trusted partner to major shipyards, including TEBMA Shipyard Limited, Cochin Shipyard Limited, and L&T Shipbuilding.

Our successful project portfolio includes the construction and commissioning of a diverse range of vessels, such as:

Beyond new vessel construction, our expertise extends to the entire ship systems integration process. We have been involved in the erection of equipment, comprehensive pre-commissioning checks, testing, sea trials, and the final commissioning of machinery and treatment plants. Our skilled team has also executed complex projects like the erection of gas turbine ducting on board various vessels, including aircraft carriers.

Matprop has been undertaking projects on contract for TEBMA Shipyard Limited, Kochi since 2009, Cochin Shipyard Limited, Kochi since 2011 and L & T Ship Building since 2012. We have successfully completed hull fabrication and erection; fabrication, erection and commissioning of piping systems on multiple, High Speed Patrol Vessels, Platform Supply Vessels, Anchor Handling Vessels and Advance Defense Ship. We also have building experience in Aluminium Interceptor Boats Hull and Outfitting – Fabrication & Erection, Fabrication & Installation of Manholes, Foundations and Hull Outfit, Piping – Hydraulic systems, Exhaust Gas System etc.

Matprop has also been honing its skills at varied other projects like Erection of all equipments including shafting, Complete Pre Commissioning checks, Testing, Sea Trials and Commissioning of all Machinery equipments and components, Treatment Plants and Erection of Gas Turbine ducting onboard varied vessels like Advanced Defense Ship ( Aircraft Carrier), All Aluminum Interceptor Boats, Fast patrol vessels, AHTS and PSV at these yards.

  • Hull Fabrication and Erection of Fast Patrol Vessels, Multiple Platform Vessels
  • Fabrication, Erection and Commissioning of piping systems
  • Outfit work, piping system erection, gas turbine ducting and STP erection onboard Aircraft Carrier.
  • Testing and commissioning of all shipboard machinery for two, 120T Anchor Handling Towing Supply vessels
  • Outfit Work and Piping System Erection of 500 Pax Cum 150T Cargo Vessel
  • Aluminium Catamaran boat hulls for Kochi Water Metro Project

Projects Done at L&T Ship Building, Kattupalli, Tamil Nadu

  • Fabrication and Erection of Aluminum Hull, Super structure and Outfit works on three no’s Interceptor Boats for Indian Coast Guard. (Dry weight of Hull & SS: 20 tons)
  • Fabrication and erection of Stainless steel pipes and fittings on two Aluminium IB’s
  • Erection and commissioning of all equipment’s on board for two Aluminium IB boats
  • Fabrication and Erection of various piping systems on Commercial vessels for the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Platform Support Vessel – 1, 2, 3 & 4 Anchor Handling Towing & Supply vessel
  • Hull unit fabrication for PSV’s 3, 4, & 5 vessels
  • Complete Machinery erection and commissioning for one PSV & one AHTS vessel
  • Also involved in their Ship repair activities in Hull and Piping sections
